SALGA Partnership

CHAMSA has come into an agreement with the South African Local Government Association (SALGA), in terms of which SALGA will provide infrastructure support in terms of office space to chambers throughout the country. This will enable CHAMSA to roll out its programmes and to create business opportunities centres throughout the country.

• CHAMSA intends using SALGA infrastructure to retail all DTI products and services needed by businesses on the grounds especially small and medium size enterprises (SMMEs).

Training Partnerships

CHAMSA intends engaging with the University of Witwatersrand (Wits), the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and the Institute of Directors to develop courses aimed at improving the business skills of CHAMSA staff and its members.

• A partnership with Wits University will develop business related courses, including personal financial planning, offered to CHAMSA members by way of modules in venues across South Africa. 
• JSE training will focus on the functioning of the capital markets and education on the various components and concepts used in the market environment, thereby enabling the CHAMSA members to invest and utilise the services of the capital market with better understanding.

CHAMSA intends establishing standing committees with representation of private sectors and SMMEs with the following areas

• International affairs
• Pricing regulations
• Trade & Industry
• Legal issues
• HR affairs (including labour regulations)
• Public utilities
• Infrastructure & Transport 
• Finance
